Khan beats Pacquiao, says Floyd Sr.

Manny PacquiaoBy Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Sr. thinks that Manny Pacquiao is not only beatable by his son Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. in a rematch if the two fighters choose to cross paths again, but also by Britain’s Amir “King” Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) if they wind up facing each other next year.

Khan has already spoke with Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum about a potential fight between the two stars in early 2016, once Pacquiao rehabs his surgically repaired right shoulder. Floyd Sr. thinks that all Khan would have to do to beat the Filipino star is to out-box him and he’ll wind up with a win just like his son Mayweather Jr. got last May, when he easily out-boxed the 36-year-old Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

How much did Mayweather pay me to write this?

Image: How much did Mayweather pay me to write this?By Kurt Jean: I took the time to clearly state that opinions are opinions .The article I wrote, happened to be mine. I based mine on several quantifiable metrics. In all seriousness, who cares who is the best, who is not the best? Judging the best is an exercise in futility. I can’t really say who is the best, only an all knowing, all encompassing calculator could gauge that.

It’s about pushing the envelope and the lens through which we discuss and see things. “Mayweather fanboy, Pactard “. The least you can do, if you profess your love for a thing, is to try to broaden your perspective and acquire discernment with regards to how you verbalize your appreciation for it. Even if it’s only the comment section, it reflects the state of mind of boxing fans.

Mayweather: It’s not going to be easy beating Berto

Image: Mayweather: It’s not going to be easy beating BertoBy Chris Williams: WBA/WBC Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) doesn’t expect his 49th victim to be an easy one in less than two weeks from now when he faces one of the big names from the past Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs) on Showtime pay-per-view on September 12th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mayweather knows the 31-year-old Berto will be fighting tooth and nail to try and get that victory, because if he can become the first fighter to defeat Mayweather, he’ll go down in the history books as the guy that stopped his streak. Mayweather is like a baseball pitcher who is in the 9th inning of game with a no-hitter going.

Image: Berto is ready to match his hand speed against Mayweather’sBy Allan Fox: Former IBF/WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (30-3, 23 KOs) feels that he’s got the hand speed to match Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs) on September 12th, and he’s looking forward to having a speed game with him. Mayweather Sr: Floyd whoops Golovkin, he’s slow!

1-02By Chris Williams: Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. isn’t too impressed with IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) nor is he impressed with WBA “regular” welterweight champion Keith “One Time” Thurman (26-0, 21 KOs). Floyd Sr. says Golovkin is too slow, and that Mayweather Jr. would likely beat him with his style.

As for Thurman, Floyd Sr. thinks he telegraphs his punches, and he would be an easy opponent for Mayweather to beat. Floyd Sr. says Mayweather always beats fighters that telegraph their punches like Thurman. He sees Thurman as little more than a hard puncher without the skills to compete against Mayweather.
