By Dave Lahr: Manny Pacquiao won’t be facing a weight drained fighter if the bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. is made nor will Pacquiao be fighting an opponent that had the living daylights beaten out of him in a recent fight like Miguel Cotto did in his bout with tough Mexican brawler Antonio Margarito last year. Pacquiao might as well retire now and go into politics or something because when he faces Mayweather, Manny will be taking a really tough opponent.

Five Arguments Why You Should Bet on Pacquiao – Boxing
By Derrick P. Villanueva: 1.) Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is Stronger than Floyd “Money” Mayweather – In his recent fight with Cotto, he turned the proud Puerto Rican’s face into raw hamburger. The only other time I’ve seen him look that bad is when he got pummeled with Antonio “Hands of Plaster” Margarito. The ‘Pacman’ also made Oscar De La Hoya quit on his stool, something he’s never done in his career. And do we dare forget the demolition of then 140 lbs. king Ricky Hatton?
Mayweather vs Pacquiao – THE FACTS: Why You Should Bet on ‘Money’ and Not Gamble with ‘Pacman’
By Mark Phillips: After millions watched in awe at Manny Pacquiao’s destructive TKO over Miguel Cotto on November 14th where Pacquiao claimed a record breaking seven world titles in seven different weight divisions, it seems as though boxing has finally been fully resurrected, standing proud in light of its most exciting weight class, with a new mainstream star seemingly unbeatable even against Puerto Reco’s toughest.
Mayweather-Pacquiao: Let Me Discredit The Critics!
By Dewi Powell: My previous article described Cotto-Pacquiao as a fight that is the pinnacle of the welterweight decade; I worded it carefully because I knew the winner of that fight against Mayweather would be the pinnacle of the welterweight era! However, most people seem to have already predicted that Mayweather-Pacquiao has an absolute certain conclusion without looking at any tactical issues. I’m writing to dispel the criticisms of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, read with an open mind and disconnect yourself from any bias or loyalty you may have ….
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao – Article 1 – Response!
By Jorge Lugo: It seems I have become a marked man on BoxingNews! All Floyd Mayweather Jr. followers have bashed me in regards to my most recent article stating “Floyd Mayweather Jr. is overrated, period!” Now fortunately for me, I couldn’t care less what the next man thinks.
Pacquiao vs. Mayweather: Who wins?
By Liam Fitzgerald: After Manny Pacquiao’s stunning demolition of Miguel Cotto on Saturday night we are surely now set up for the ultimate showdown: Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather. There’s no point denying that these two fighters are in a class of their own and the p4p number one spot cannot be truly held by one without beating the other.
Mayweather-Pacquiao: Part of my dream list for 2010
By Peter Wells: As the year of 2009 draws to a close with only 6 fighting weeks remaining, and only a few big fights to draw a close to a controversial and exciting year. It is now time to start to look ahead to 2010, fights are being made and whispers are spreading around, but there are so many fights we want to see next year it seems impossible to cram it all in. Here is my list of fights that I would love to see happen next year, not all of them will be hugely appealing to most people but they are fights that make sense:
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao – Article 1
By Ibrar Arshaid: I recently read a post by a fellow writer Jorge Lugo headlined ‘Floyd Mayweather is overrated’. I read the article and read all the responses and I honestly was in shock that so many people actually think that Mayweather is overrated. The responses were just ridiculous, ‘Floyd has never fought anyone in his career’, ‘Mayweather has ducked the best fighters his entire career’, ‘Manny would kill Mayweather and Floyd is just running scared from Pacquiao’ etc. Reading all these stupid responses honestly made me think why people hate this guy so much.
Mayweather looking at fighting Hatton, Quintana or Salita – News
By Eric Thomas: According to the latest boxing news, Fight Hype is reporting that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is looking at fighting several different opponents if a fight with Manny Pacquiao can’t be made. The opponents are as follows: Matthew Hatton, Dimitriy Salita and Carlos Quintana. This is somewhat shocking news, because the boxing world has been counting on seeing a fight between Mayweather and World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.
Mayweather – Pacquiao: It can be as simple as 3 “IFs”
By Rowell Anthony Maghirang: There is no denying that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has got boxing skills. He probably has the best defensive style in the game. On the other hand, we have the Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, who nobody, in the right state of mind, can deny has got one of the most powerful offensive weaponry that any boxer can wish they’d possess. And after Pacquiao’s very impressive display against Cotto, we all can’t stop ourselves from wanting that these two work of arts meet in the ring.
