By Scott Gilfoid: If Floyd Mayweather Jr. really wants to open the eyes of boxing fans and to win back some of his lost fans from his problems with Manny Pacquiao, he should step it up and fight Paul Williams. That might be a shocker for some, but it would be the perfect remedy to shut up Floyd’s critics and at the same time it would be a much bigger fight than the Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey fight that takes place on March 13th in the Dallas Cowboy stadium, in Texas. Mayweather needs a big named opponent and one that will give him a good fight.

Mayweather could face Cintron, Malignaggi, Campbell or Bradley next – News
By Eric Thomas: According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. could be facing a number of potential boxing opponents such as Nate Campbell, Paulie Malignaggi, Kermit Cintron and Timothy Bradley. One opponent that Mayweather won’t be fighting is Matthew Hatton. Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said there was no truth in the rumors that Mayweather was considering a fight with the younger Hatton brother.
Roach hints that Pacquiao could fight Mayweather in the future
By Chris Williams: After Manny Pacquiao and his management team suddenly pulled out of their planned March 13th fight with unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. last week because of the random drug testing methods for the fight, it shot an arrow through what many boxing experts feel would have been the biggest fight of all time. Pacquiao, who would have possibly made $40 million on the fight, walked away from that money because he didn’t want to have blood taken from him inside 24 days from the fight.
The Catlike Floyd “Meow” Mayweather
By Caesar Almase: I was watching the Mayweather/Marquez fight with my wife and she remarked, “Mayweather is so quick. He’s like a cat.” Indeed he is, and in more ways than one. There is no denying Meow May is an extremely gifted boxer, one of the greatest of this generation.
He is a multiple division champion. He is likely headed to the Boxing Hall of Fame. He is undefeated because of his catlike skills in the ring. . . and his catlike avoidance of the best fighters.
Schaefer: Mayweather willing to fight Mosley – News
By Eric Thomas: Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer says that unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. (40-0, 25 KO’s) is willing to take the fight against World Boxing Association welterweight champion Shane Mosley (46-5, 39 KO’s). In an article at the Los Angeles Times, Schaefer said “At 147, the man to beat is ‘Sugar’ Shane Mosley. Floyd Will take that fight, and will shut up all those [boxing fans] who are saying he’s a coward.”
Why Random Blood Testing Wont Become Compulsory in Boxing
by Daniel Ciminera: I have been sitting around thinking about all this talk of random blood testing and I have come up with a number of reasons not to introduce mandatory randomized blood testing. The reasons range from it being expensive, to being potentially dangerous and also outdated. I really don’t think compulsory random testing will become standard practice. I can’t think of one single positive outcome from it’s introduction. Here is some of the science behind my conclusion, and some of the cheaper, more reliable alternatives.
Mayweather: Is he an Underachiever?
By Philip Green: Floyd Mayweather Jr is unquestionably a great boxer and amongst the current crop of pound for pound stars, but an all time great he most definitely is not in my view. Not only do I see his record lacking much of the credible opposition that could accord him such lofty status, he is symptomatic of the over-hyped and underachieving American boxers of the modern era.
Matthew Hatton: “Mayweather’s camp have been in touch about three times now”
By Sean McDaniel: Fringe welterweight contender Matthew Hatton (37-4-2, 14 KO’s) says that he could be next up for unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an article at the Daily Star. “Mayweather’s camp has been in touch about three times now. With the Pacquiao fight being called off now, it’s good news for me. My trainer was told by them I’m top of their list of opponents.”
What will Pacquiao do if random blood tests become standard?
By Jason Kim: The recent mega fight between WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. died out because of the random blood tests for drugs that Mayweather wanted bout fighters to take before the fight. Mayweather says that he just wants an even playing field. The negotiations quickly hit a roadblock over this matter, as typically only urine is checked by the Nevada Athletic Commission, who oversees boxing matches in Nevada.
Drug Testing: people are missing the point
By Harold Tackie: A lot has been said in regard to the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight not taking place. There are many who blame Floyd Mayweather for the fight not taking place, saying he is running scared and that he does not really want the fight. Others blame World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and his team for refusing to take the blood tests. I personally fall into the latter category and I will explain why I take this stance as I go through this article.
