By Eric Baldwin: Chris Eubank Jr. is picking IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin to defeat Daniel Jacobs in their fight next month on March 18 on HBO PPV. Eubank Jr. thinks that he’ll ultimately be the one that hands the unbeaten Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) his first loss of his career in the near future.

When the two of them get around to facing each other is anyone’s guess. Eubank Jr. has a fight this Saturday night against IBO super middleweight champion Renold Quinlan (11-1, 7 KOs) on February 4 on ITV pay-per-view at the Olympia in London, England. Eubank Jr. is expected to win that fight.

Golovkin won’t be reckless against Jacobs says Sanchez

Image: Golovkin won’t be reckless against Jacobs says Sanchez

By Dan Ambrose: Many boxing fans have the mistaken belief that IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) has poor defensive skills and is easy to hit, which they think could come back to haunt him in his fight against Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) on March 18 in their fight on HBO pay-per-view at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Golovkin’s trainer Abel Sanchez says that’s the farthest thing to the truth. Sanchez says that Golovkin won’t be careless in his fight against the 29-year-old Jacobs, although he doesn’t see the fight lasting more than eight rounds due to Golovkin’s huge punching power.

Golovkin-Jacobs better fight than Canelo-Chavez Jr. says Malignaggi

Image: Golovkin-Jacobs better fight than Canelo-Chavez Jr. says Malignaggi

By Dan Ambrose: Paulie Malignaggi says he doesn’t get what’s so special about the Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight, and he feels that the Gennady “GGG” Golovkin vs. Daniel Jacobs match-up is a much better fight in terms of entertainment. I think for a lot of boxing fans, they agree with Malignaggi.

Canelo-Chavez Jr. pales in comparison to the Golovkin-Jacobs fight, which matches two of the best fighters in the middleweight division today against each other. Golovkin and Jacobs are two knockout artists with 62 knockouts between them.

Jacobs’ power could give Golovkin problems says Froch

Image: Jacobs’ power could give Golovkin problems says Froch

By Jim Dower: Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) will be facing a big puncher in Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) on March 18, and he could have a lot of problems with the New York fighter’s power. Former 168lb champion Carl Froch thinks Jacobs could take him apart with his big punching power.

Not only is this a rare fight in which Golovkin is facing a puncher, but he’s facing a guy with more size than him in Jacobs. Golovkin will be giving away close to three inches in height and reach to Jacobs. That means for Golovkin to land anything, he’s going to get hit with some hard punches by Jacobs.

Golovkin looking past Jacobs, schedules Saunders fight

Image: Golovkin looking past Jacobs, schedules Saunders fight

By Eric Baldwin: A fight between IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) and WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (24-0, 12 KOs) is said to be on the verge of being announced in the next week or two. It’s being said that Golovkin will fight Saunders in his native Kazakhstan, which is an unusual location for the fight.

Golovkin has been fighting mostly in the U.S lately, and it would seem like the smarter move by him to continue to do so. What’s kind of surprising is that Golovkin is looking past his March 18 fight against WBA World middleweight champion Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) to take the fight against Saunders.

Jacobs talks of perfect strategy to beat Golovkin

Image: Jacobs talks of perfect strategy to beat Golovkin

By Allan Fox: Daniel Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) says he has the perfect strategy to deal with what IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) will be bringing to the table on March 18 on HBO pay-per-view at Madison Square Garden in New York. Jacobs is going to be training with light heavyweight champion Andre Ward’s trainer Virgil Hunter in his gym in Oakland, California for this training camp to get ready for Triple G.

There’s a possibility that Jacobs could do some sparring with Ward, who recently beat the hard hitting Sergey Kovalev by a 12 round unanimous decision last November to take his IBF/WBA/WBO 175lb titles. The strategy that the 29-year-old Jacobs will be using for Golovkin is his secret.

Broner: Canelo stops Golovkin

Image: Broner: Canelo stops Golovkin

By Dan Ambrose: Light welterweight contender Adrien Broner sees middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) as a vulnerable fighter, who would have lost to welterweight Kell Brook (36-1, 25 Kos) last September if he’d been a 160lb fighter rather than just a 147 pounder.

Broner says Golovkin will lose to Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs) by a knockout when the two of them face each other in the near future. Since it’s still not known if Canelo will ever agree to fight Golovkin, it doesn’t matter what Broner’s opinion is on the subject of him and Canelo. At the rate that Canelo is going, we may not ever see him fight Golovkin.

Jacobs will use size advantage against Golovkin says Rozier

Image: Jacobs will use size advantage against Golovkin says Rozier

By Jeff Aranow: Daniel Jacobs will be enjoying a 2 ½” height and 3” reach advantage over Gennady “GGG” Golovkin on March 18. Jacobs’ trainer Andre Rozier says the size advantage for his fighter is going to give Golovkin all kinds of problems when they get inside the ring at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Rozier says the 6’1” Jacobs is going to use movement and his reach to get the better of the 5’10 ½” Triple G.

Jacobs lacks the strength to pressure Golovkin says Sanchez

Image: Jacobs lacks the strength to pressure Golovkin says Sanchez

By Dan Ambrose: Gennady Golovkin is expected to be the one that is applying the pressure on Daniel Jacobs for as long as their fight lasts on March 18 on HBO PPV at Madison Square Garden in New York. That’s what Golovkin’s trainer Abel Sanchez believes, and that’s what many boxing fans believe. Sanchez says it bluntly that the 29-year-old Jacobs doesn’t have the strength to back Golovkin up and pressure him for any length of time.

Sanchez thinks it’s going to be Golovkin that will be doing most of the pressuring in the fight. It would be surprising if Jacobs does any pressuring, because it’s not his style when facing big punchers. Sanchez respects the right hand punching power of Jacobs, and he plans on having Golovkin to away from getting hit with that weapon. But he still thinks that Jacobs is going to land his big power shots at times, and he sees him potentially buzzing Golovkin with a big shot at some point in the fight.

Jacobs is not going down against Golovkin says trainer

Image: Jacobs is not going down against Golovkin says trainer

By Allan Fox: WBA World middleweight champion Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (32-1, 29 KOs) is seen by many boxing fans as the next knockout victim for IBF/IBO/WB A/WBC middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) in their fight on March 18 at on HBO PPV at Madison Square Garden in New York. Jacobs’ trainer Andre Rozier says that he’s not going to be knocked down by Golovkin in the fight, and he’s not going to be making any mistakes in the fight like he did in his 5th round knockout loss to Russian Dmitri Pirog in 2010.

Rozier says Jacobs was winning the fight against Pirog at the time of the stoppage, which is true. Jacobs was ahead by the scores 39-37, 39-37 and 39-37. Jacobs didn’t do a good job of taking the right hand that Pirog knocked him out with in round 5.
