Berto says Ward has seen something from the first fight with Kovalev that he thinks he can expose to get a knockout. Ward isn’t known for being a knockout puncher, however.

According to Dan Rafael, Porter’s purse for the fight is $1 million, which isn’t bad considering that he lost his last fight to Keith Thurman last June. The Berto-Porter fight will be televised on Showtime Championship Boxing.
The winner of the Berto vs. Porter fight will have a future fight against WBA/WBC champion Thurman.

Former two-time welterweight world champion Berto (31-4, 24 KOs) weighed in at 146 ½ pounds for his WBC welterweight title eliminator bout against former IBF champ Porter (26-2-1, 16 KOs). For his part, Porter weighed in at the welterweight limit at 147 lbs.
