By Scott Gilfoid: Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) says he’s open to fighting Brandon Rios and Yuriorkis Gamboa in the future, but he has conditions for a fight with Gamboa. Broner wants to make sure Gamboa to be tested for performance enhancing drugs to where he’s clean before he’ll agree to fight him. As for Rios, Broner is leaving that fight up to his promoters to make.
Broner said at the post-fight press conference last night “Yuriorkis Gamboa is fighting PEDs [performance enhancing drugs]. I don’t want to hear about Yuriorkis Gamboa. Tell him to go get his piss clean, and then he can come talk to Adrien Broner. Other than that, he’s done. If Brandon Rios wants to fight me, we can fight. I don’t make my fights. I fight whoever they put in front of me.”
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) says he felt like the left hand that he dropped Gavin Rees (37-2-1, 18 KO’s) last night was a shot that went right through the Welsh fighter in the 5th. Broner says he really hit him hard with that body shot, and felt it with his hand.
By Scott Gilfoid: Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) wants nothing but the best for WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns for his fight next month against IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez on March 16th at the Wembley Arena in London, England. Broner says he’s really hoping Burns wins that fight so that he can face him in the near future later on this year.
By Scott Gilfoid: Gary Lockett, the trainer for the beaten Gavin Rees (37-2-1, 18 KO’s), says he was thinking about throwing in the white towel of surrender in the 3rd round when Rees was getting drilled by WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) late in the round while trapped against the ropes. 
By Scott Gilfoid: Last night, Gavin Rees (37-2-1, 18 KO’s) was blown apart by WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) in a two knockdown, 5th round TKO loss in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Other than a few shots here and there landed by Rees in the first couple of rounds when Broner was just playing around, it was totally one-sided.
By Scott Gilfoid: WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns’ promoter Frank Warren says he’d like to make a fight between Burns and the American talent WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner if Burns can get past his next fight against IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez on March 16th. That’s going to be a tough fight, and I can see Vazquez winning that one and ruining Warren’s plans for a Burns-Broner fight.
By Cutman’s Stool: The “Problem” Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) gave a steamrolling performance last night in the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City. The Boxing sensation just looked too big and powerful for the much smaller Gavin Rees (37-2-1, 18 KO’s). Broner defended his WBC lightweight title which is pretty much going to be his as long as he remains in the division.
By Steven Ocallaghan: After watching WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22 KO’s) stop a very game but ultimately over-matched Gavin Rees (37-2-1, 18 KO’s) in at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA last night, I don’t think there is any reason for WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns (35-2, 10 KO’s) to feel worried at all. I always thought Broner would win, but I thought Rees would take him a little further but it was a good performance. In watching Broner’s performance it took him a couple of rounds to warm up but the main thing I noticed is that he is a 1 minute a round fighter.
