By J E Bond: Respected fight figure and close aide to high powered manager Al Haymon, Sam Watson, has confirmed that the highly anticipated super fight between WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr and World Boxing Organization welterweight champ Manny Pacquiao is about to be announced and will land at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 2nd in a unique joint HBO-Showtime venture.
The ball is almost certainly now in Mayweather’s court although Watson, who is a close confidant of the American champion, has now added some much-needed credence to the various rumors that has been floating about since December.
