By Chris Cook: Pound for pound king Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather (45-0, 26 KO’s) faces off against Marcos ‘El Chino’ Maidana (35-3, 31 KO’s) in a pay-per-view clash on Showtime at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada on May 3rd in an event titled ‘The Moment’.
When this fight was announced the only ‘moment’ I could think of was the one when Mayweather decides to knock Maidana out.
Due to the sheer dominance of Mayweather in his fights, the majority have looked like mismatches but that was after the bouts had taken place. By Chris Cook: Amir Khan 28-3-0 (19KO) faces off against former WBA welterweight champion Luis Collazo 35-8-0 (18KO) on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr – Marcos Maidana on May 3rd at the MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada. The self proclaimed ‘King’ Khan divides opinion more than most amongst boxing fans, with his electric hand speed and ability to throw endless combinations, counteracted by his questionable chin and his willingness to get involved in tear-ups that he does not need.
Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) faces off against Timothy Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) in an intriguing rematch on April 12. Bradley won the first contest by a controversial split decision, but with many fans now believing the result will be the same this time round due to Pacquiao being in decline. But has Pacquaio really declined as much as people are saying?
