Agit Kabayel Could Await Tyson Fury After Joshua

Tyson Fury could face Agit Kabayel in Germany after Anthony Joshua, according to his manager Spencer Brown. The suggestion depends on Fury winning on December 11, although a crushing defeat might still leave a fun fight for Kabayel’s home supporters.

Managing both fighters gives Brown an easy angle, and he claimed their friendship will not stand in the way of a bout. They will share the ring if required, according to Brown.

“If he beats Anthony Joshua, you know, there’s Agit Kabayel in Germany,” Brown said to the The Ariel Helwani Show. “They’d do the dance if they needed to.

Longtime Wladimir Klitschko supporters would remember Fury taking his titles in Düsseldorf in 2015. Watching Kabayel beat Fury on German soil could feel like settling an old score. If Joshua had already battered him, some might enjoy seeing their current heavyweight star finish the job. That would make for a lively atmosphere, even if Fury arrived with his best years behind him.

Both Fury and Joshua share the exact same problem right now. Their legs are nearly gone, their punch resistance has diminished, and they rely heavily on smoke, mirrors, and holding to stay upright against anyone capable of applying sustained pressure. Kabayel is wrong for both of them. He throws with bad intentions downstairs, refuses to give opponents room to breathe, and punishes excessive clinching by working free hands into the flanks.

The British public loves watching former belt holders test their luck one time too many, and German fans would gladly pay top dollar to see Kabayel dismantle whatever remains of Fury.

The question is, would Fury agree to the fight? A fighter whose entire public persona rests on invincibility does not sign up to become fodder for a younger, hungrier pressure puncher. Even if Turki dangled a massive paycheck in front of him, taking the bout means accepting a scenario where he cannot dictate terms, control the tempo, or hide behind basic veteran survival tactics against Kabayel.

The Makhmudov and Wach performances laid everything bare. The legs were heavy, the reflexes were delayed, and the movement that once bailed him out looked completely gone. Against stationary targets, he managed to scrape by on pure size and roughhouse clinching, but Kabayel represents a completely different proposition.

For Fury, taking a battering from Joshua only to travel into Kabayel’s backyard is a recipe for humiliation
