Tyson Fury Credits Dana White For U.S. Return

By Boxing News 24 Desk - 09/30/2026 - Comments

Tyson Fury credits Dana White with helping resolve the visa issue that kept him out of the United States for years, opening the door to his return to South Florida for training ahead of the Anthony Joshua fight.

White’s help puts Fury back in familiar surroundings with SugarHill Steward in Delray Beach and opens the door to more fights in the United States.

“Listen, it all got done through Dana on Donald Trump’s table,” Fury told Mike Coppinger of The Ring. “And Donald Trump just went bang: ‘Tyson’s a great guy. Come on in.’ And that’s how it works. That’s how G’s go, innit? They make [things] happen.”

That is Fury’s account of how the matter was handled, and his appreciation for White is clear. After a lengthy absence, returning to America means access to a familiar training environment and another major market for the closing stretch of his career.

Fury is already looking beyond Joshua to a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk, which he wants at Madison Square Garden next year. That bout remains unsigned, but his return to the United States makes an American venue possible again.

It is easy to see why Fury appreciates White’s help. Getting him back into America has allowed him to resume training in Florida and consider U.S. fights again, giving Fury a clear reason to value their relationship.

Fury also spoke warmly about his American audience, describing recognition from boxing followers and viewers of his Netflix series. Returning allows him to reconnect with both groups while preparing for another major event.

From Fury’s perspective, White has already helped improve his options. The Florida camp is the immediate benefit. The chance to finish his career with more American appearances could prove the bigger one.
