Garcia makes the first defense of the belt he captured by outpointing Mario Barrios in February. Benn earned his title shot by beating Regis Prograis on points in April and now steps into his first world championship fight.

Benn must close the distance, dig it in downstairs and make Garcia fight under pressure. Garcia will look to dictate the distance, draw Benn onto his counters and fire the left hook when the challenger squares his feet. That punch is the equalizer, and Benn cannot afford to admire his own work before rebuilding his stance.
