Alalshikh resurfaced Joshua’s remarks about their December fight and responded with a playful social media post
Turki Alalshikh revived Anthony Joshua’s comments about Jake Paul this week by sharing a report of the heavyweight’s remarks on social media. Alalshikh accompanied the post with laughing emojis after Joshua joked that he had been given a mission to remove Paul from boxing.
“There was a strict message that was given and a task that was laid upon me, and that was to get rid of Jake Paul, remove him from our beloved sport, which is boxing,” Joshua said.
“Whether that took me one round, whether that took me six rounds, I believe the job was well and truly done. I definitely delivered.”
Joshua stopped Paul in the sixth round of their heavily publicized crossover fight. Paul, who typically competes closer to cruiserweight, was dropped and eventually halted by the former heavyweight champion.

The defeat left Paul dealing with a fractured jaw that later required surgery. Paul revealed last month that his return to boxing remains on hold while he continues recovering from the injury.
Joshua’s comments were delivered with a smile, but Alalshikh appeared to enjoy the joke as well, reposting the article on Tuesday and adding laughing and smiling emojis to his post.
The Saudi boxing financier has become one of the most influential figures in the sport over the last several years, helping stage many of boxing’s biggest events.
Paul has yet to announce a return date for his next boxing match, while his Most Valuable Promotions company has expanded into mixed martial arts promotion in recent months.
