Foster reignited his feud with Roach on social media days after retaining the WBC super featherweight title
O’Shaquie Foster reignited his rivalry with Lamont Roach Jr. days after defeating Raymond Ford, accusing Roach of avoiding a fight with him. The WBC super featherweight champion fired back on social media after Roach rejected claims that he had ducked him.
“Nigga said I ducked him, but I fought Tank? So I ducked you to fight Tank? shut ur dumb ass up & enjoy ur win,” said Lamont.
Roach’s response referenced his March 2025 majority draw against Gervonta Davis, a fight many viewed as one of the biggest opportunities of his career. Foster quickly answered back and accused Roach of choosing a different opponent rather than facing him.
Nah you ducked me to fight this dude boy!!! You know what’s up you doing all that tweaking ima catch up wit you and you gone get the same treatment ya mans got!!! BTA⚡️ https://t.co/R77mnUGWyJ pic.twitter.com/VOB3XDMOGv

Foster pointed to Roach’s fight with Feargal McCrory as proof of his claim that Roach avoided a fight with him.
The exchange comes after Foster openly called out several notable names following his win over Ford. Along with Roach, Foster mentioned Davis and Shakur Stevenson as fighters he would like to face next.
There is currently no indication that a Foster-Roach fight is being negotiated. Roach is scheduled to challenge William Zepeda for the vacant WBC lightweight title on August 1 in Las Vegas, a move that places his immediate focus at 135 pounds.
That hasn’t stopped Foster from keeping the pressure on publicly. If nothing else, the back-and-forth has added fuel to a rivalry that appears far from over.
