Visioli controls distance behind the jab and scores a knockdown to secure a clear 10-round decision on the Liddard–Denny card
Giorgio Visioli defended his English title with a clear 10-round decision over Kane Giles at the Copper Box Arena in London, scoring a knockdown in the middle rounds. The win keeps him moving toward higher-level domestic fights after a performance built on distance control and steady body work.
The judges scored it 99-90, 100-89, and 99-90 in favor of Visioli, who also recorded a knockdown and dictated the pace from the opening round through the final bell.
Visioli used his jab from the opening round and kept Giles at range while adding straight shots and body punches. Giles continued to come forward behind a high guard but had limited success landing clean. Visioli maintained the same pattern across the rounds and added to his lead on the scorecards.
Giles came forward behind a high guard but landed few clean shots and did not change the direction of the fight.
Visioli’s timing and positioning allowed him to pick shots without taking sustained return fire, and a knockdown in the middle portion of the fight extended his lead on the cards. Giles rose and continued, but the tempo and control remained with Visioli for the remainder of the bout.
There were no point deductions. A low blow from Giles in the later rounds caused a brief pause, after which the fight resumed without incident.
Visioli (11-0, 6 KOs) completed the first defense of the English title he won in December and did so without needing extended exchanges. His performance was built on consistent jab use, controlled movement, and steady body punching across all 10 rounds. He maintained range, limited Giles’ opportunities, and added scoring shots in nearly every round.
The bout took place on the main card of the George Liddard vs. Tyler Denny event at the Copper Box Arena in London, promoted by Matchroom Boxing and broadcast on DAZN. The result keeps Visioli in position for a higher-level domestic fight later this year, with his control over distance and body work standing out across the full 10 rounds.
