Michael Conlan Defends WBC International Title Against Kevin Walsh In Belfast Return

Michael Conlan (20-3, 10 KOs)  brings his WBC International featherweight belt back to Belfast on March 20 against unbeaten Kevin Walsh 19-0 (10  KOs).

Conlan is 34 now. Rounds add up at that age, even for a technician who built his base through the amateurs. The SSE Arena has seen his better nights. He has also taken heavy shots in recent fights, the kind that stay in a fighter’s legs long after the crowd clears.

He said, “I can’t wait to come back to Belfast to fight, on this last run towards a world title.” Trainers listen for tone more than content. That line carries the sound of a man counting the remaining walks.
