Jake Paul is expected to be sidelined for an extended period following the jaw injury he suffered in his loss to Anthony Joshua earlier this month.
Paul sustained fractures in two separate areas of his jaw during the fight. While no official recovery timetable has been announced, former junior welterweight titleholder Chris Algieri believes the injury could require a lengthy absence from the ring.
Speaking on his Inside Boxing Live podcast, Algieri said he has known several fighters who dealt with similar injuries and suggested recovery can take longer than many expect. Algieri noted that jaw fractures often involve extended healing periods and can limit normal activities during the early stages of recovery.
No update has been provided by Paul’s team regarding surgery, rehabilitation, or a potential return date. Any future plans remain unconfirmed as he continues to recover from the injury.
