Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. reveals that he could face influencer Jake Paul next. He says he has a meeting this week to discuss a potential fight with Jake.
The 38-year-old former WBC middleweight champion Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 KOs) has made millions in his career, and fighting Jake Paul would allow him to fatten his bank account. Chavez Jr. says fighting Jake could open up other opportunities for interesting fights.
“It’s an option (Jake Paul); we’re looking into it; let’s see, this week I have a meeting; maybe it’s a fight I can continue. I’d be interested in fighting a champion, but fighting Jake Paul for the fame and the media would put me in a position to fight against others. I’m not looking for it; it’s been presented. It’s not concrete, but let’s see what happens,” said Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to TUDN about a fight between him and Jake Paul.
Jake Paul, 27, is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision win over Mike Tyson on November 15th, and fighting Chavez Jr. would allow him to battle another old name that fans are familiar with.
