Dan Rafael: Ryan Garcia’s Lab Results Show No Third Positive Test

Boxing expert Dan Rafael reports that Ryan Garcia’s lab results are back for his previous positive test for the banned PED 19-Norandrosterone for an April 19th urine sample and it “did not confirm” the presence of this substance.

Good News for Garcia… But Still a Serious Situation

Rafael says Ryan still has the two positive tests for the banned PED Ostarine, but not for 19-Norandrosterone. He says this is a good thing for Ryan because he now only has the positive test for the Ostarine instead of the other one.

Ryan will still have to deal with the consequences for his two positive tests for the banned PED Ostarine, but won’t have as harsh an outcome if the other PED 19-Norandrosterone were there.

B-Sample Testing Scheduled

Rafael states that VADA reports that Ryan Garcia’s B samples for his two positive tests for Ostarine on April 19th and April 20th will be tested on May 22nd. Ryan can have a representative there to “make sure it’s all on the up and up.”

“BREAKING: Urine sample Ryan Garcia provided April 19 that was positive for Ostarine but also showed banned PED 19-Norandrosterone needed more testing to confirm. That’s done. Per lab report sent to VADA, which I’ve obtained, it “did not confirm.” THERE IS NO 3rd test failure,” said boxing expert Dan Rafael on X.

What It Means

With no confirmation for the presence of 19-Norandrosterone, it reduces what Ryan Garcia is being accused of. That said, Ryan still has two confirmed positive tests for the banned PED Ostarine and may have to deal with the consequences of that if the B-sample test shows the presence of this drug.

Ryan said in an interview today that he’s going to have his supplements tested to identify if one of them contained the drug from his April 19th and 20th tests.
