WBO junior middleweight champion Tim Tszyu weighed in at 152 3/4 lbs, while his opponent Sebastian Fundora weighed in at 152 3/4 lbs, during Friday’s weigh-in for their headliner this Saturday night, March 30th, on PPV.com and Prime Video PPV at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

In co-feature weights, WBA light welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero weighed 139 1/2 lbs, and challenger Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz weighed 138 3/4 lbs.

Tense Face-Off for Tszyu vs. Fundora

Tszyu (24-0, 17 KOs) taunted Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) during the face-off, bending forward, looking like he was going to try and attack. Fundora just stared at Tszyu blankly, showing no emotion.

Seeing that he wasn’t getting a reaction out of Fundora, Tszyu stopped playing around and stood still to get the face-off over with.

The face-off between Rolly (15-1, 13 KOs) and Pitbull Cruz (25-2-1, 17 KOs) was slightly more interesting. Pitbull had to be held back, as he looked like he wanted to get the trash-talking Rolly to swat him for everything he said during the build-up of their fight.

Fundora Promises Improvements

“I’m ready for whatever he brings. Whatever he brings on Saturday night, I’ve trained. Will be ready,” said Fundora to the media about his fight against Tszyu. “I hope so. People are paying for this. Let’s give them their money’s worth,” said Fundora, reacting to Tszyu saying this will be a ‘Face-breaking’ fight.

“I’m the next generation of good boxing, and we’re going to show you on Saturday night. In my last fight I was using my jab. So, you’re going to see some new stuff. Every fight is different, but expect a good Sebastian.

“He’s [Tszyu] a pressure fighter. He’s a good fighter and a champion for a reason. I’m going to be using my abilities to be champion in this fight. I’m not Gausha. He’s a good boxer with a lot of smarts, but Fundora is a different fighter. You’re just going to have to see on Saturday night what Fundora can do.

“My defense wasn’t the best in that fight, but small things. Keeping my hands up, not leaning forward. Those are things you shouldn’t do in boxing. I got away with it for a long time, but I’ve been working on my defense and I’m just fixing those things. I’ve had a whole year to do that,” said Fundora.
