“Ryan Garcia burst into tears today online, melting down on social media, talking about people wanting to cancel his fight against WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney on April 20th on DAZN PPV.

Unclear Threat, Troubling Outburst

It’s unclear who Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) is referring to when he mentions someone trying to cancel his fight, but it could be that he’s referring to the New York Athletic Commission, which reportedly wanted a mental evaluation from him.

The Haney vs. Garcia fight is still on for now, but Ryan’s latest emotional post on social media has fans questing whether he’s on stable footing for his headliner event against the unbeaten champion at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

It was a strange situation. Ryan seemingly enjoyed listening to music, and then he started talking about people trying to “break” him down, wanting to cancel his fight with Haney. He sounded paranoid and helpless.

Obviously, this fight is important for Ryan, but his behavior on social media is undermining him, making people question whether he’s mentally stable enough to be fighting anybody, let alone a talent like Haney.

“They tried to break me down”

“They tried to break me down; they tried to cancel my fight, and I was trying to do something good. I was trying to put everything down on the line,” said Ryan Garcia on social media, talking about people wanting to cancel his fight against WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney on April 20th.

“They judged me hard, but I kept going. I’m strong. People are going to say that I cried and whatnot, and they’re going to say it’s a problem. Well, come see me,” said Ryan.

Fans on social media are genuinely worried about Ryan, as his behavior isn’t the norm that they’d seen from him before his previous fights.
