Oleksandr Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, smells a rat and believes that Tyson Fury is a craven coward and purposely had someone nail him in the eye to cut him so he could weasel out of his February 17th undisputed fight to avoid getting beaten in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.E
Egis says that when he told IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) about Fury’s injury, he just smiled like he knew that Tyson would pull out of the fight.
Fans on social media 100% believe Fury intentionally suffered the injury, and they collectively view him as a coward, feeling that he should be stripped of his WBC title. Usyks promoter Alex Krassyuk says he should consider “retirement.”
Klimas’ Frenzied Tirade
“Fury is a f**** coward who will do anything not to face Usyk, and he asked his b**** to hit him with a frying pan in his brow. You can quote me word for word for that,” said Egis Klimas to Ring Magazine, reacting to Tyson Fury pulling out of his February 17th fight against Oleksandr Usyk due to a cut over his right eye, allegedly caused by a sparring episode.
“When the news was brought to Oleksandr, he just smiled. That is all he did. He is too mentally strong to break. I was waiting for this moment,” said Klimas.
It looks bad for Fury because with all the soft opposition that he’s been fighting over the last four years, facing Deontay Wilder, Dereck Chisora, Dillian Whyte and Francis Ngannou.
There were the vicious rumors of Fury getting dropped twice by Jai Opetaia in sparring and then him getting sent home after five rounds.
Johnny Nelson’s recent spilling of the beans by revealing that Fury had been getting knocked down by other sparring partners during this camp besides Opetaia.
When you put all that together, it’s not surprising why people believe that he’s used an injury to squirm out of the fight with Usyk.
“Well, it’s devasting. It had been hinted all afternoon that the fight was off. It required 15 stitches, I understand,” said Gareth A. Davies to Boxing King media, talking about Fury’s cut.
“There will be a group of people that will say that Fury was always going to pull out of this.”
