Haney? Ryan Garcia Sees Victory and an Internet Meltdown

Ryan Garcia predicts an Internet meltdown in the immediate aftermath when he defeats WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney on April 20th.

Kingry could be 100% correct about a victory for him causing the Internet to go into a “meltdown, considering” there will be a huge amount of fans searching for details about his victory over the Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) from their clash on DAZN.

A victory for the 25-year-old Garcia could transform him into the new ‘Face of Boxing,’ setting up a massive money rematch with Haney or Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

A fight between one of those two for Ryan will be huge, likely bringing in over 1 million PPV buys on DAZN. The money that Ryan will make and whoever his opponent is will be out of this world.

Breaking the Internet…Again

“After I beat Haney, I’d kind of like to fight Teofimo. I think that’s my next one,” said Ryan Garcia to Jack Alter’s channel on his plans if he successfully defeats WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney on April 20th.

“We’re going to break the Internet even more,” said Ryan, predicting the immediate reaction with fans if he defeats Haney.

Devin is the favorite for the April 20th fight, but he’s facing the biggest puncher of his career, and he could fold up under the power of Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) if he gets nailed cleanly by his signature punch, his check left hook.

Drawing from the Past: Targeting Haney’s Weakness

“He’s weak when he gets touched. He remembers what I did to him,” Garcia said about Haney, remembering their fights in the amateurs. “I barely know what he did. He doesn’t even hit hard. He won by points, and when I won, he got f**** up. There’s a difference. When I hit him, I had his a** rocked many times.”

Ryan has gotten stronger since turning pro, and it’ll be interesting to see if Haney can hold up under his power in this fight. Kingry is a different fighter than the one that Haney fought six times in the amateur ranks.

“F*** Rolly Romero. I’m never going to fight him,” said Garcia, rejecting the idea of facing WBA light welterweight champion Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero.

“Facts. I do influence everybody,” said Ryan, reacting to being told that he’s being called an ‘Influencer boxer.’ “I’m influential.
