Navarrete’s longer reach and consistent punches posed real challenges for Valdez. The 32-year-old boxer from Nogales, Mexico, switched strategies, aiming for counterattacks while ducking and dodging Navarrete’s powerful combos. However, as the battle intensified, Navarrete’s strikes, especially his left uppercuts and hooks, started leaving visible impacts, especially under Valdez’s right eye.
