By Craig Daly: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis posted a picture of him holding huge bundles of cash on social media following his release from jail this week. This is a Mayweather-esque type move on Tank’s part, posing with loads of cash to give fans a glimpse of the lifestyles of the rich & famous.
The new ‘Face of Boxing’ Gervonta didn’t reveal whether the bundles of cash were $1 bills or $100. It makes a difference.
The underlying message that the recently jailed superstar Gervonta appears to be sending his fans & haters is, ‘I’m filthy rich, and this jail time didn’t affect me one bit. I’m living a dream life!’
Posing with money is something that Floyd Mayweather Jr has frequently done, so Gervonta is following in his footsteps to impress fans.
It’s a bad idea for Tank to pose with cash because it’s going to make him a target for people, and the last thing he needs is to be forced to hire bodyguards that protect him 24/7 from hoodlums.
If Tank wants to take it a step further, he can take pictures of his newly purchased multi-million dollar penthouse apartment in Baltimore or any other property he has acquired over the years.
Tank Davis posing with bundles of cold hard cash makes him look insecure as if he feels the need to use the money to validate himself in the eyes of fans. He doesn’t need to go to those lengths to impress fans or make them feel envious of the life he lives.

It’s pointless on Gervonta’s part, as no one views him as any less talented just because of his time behind bars for his hit & run sentence.
The WBA ‘regular’ lightweight champion Tank Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) made a huge amount of money for his recent fight against influencer/boxer Ryan Garcia on Showtime PPV last April.
Ryan received a guaranteed purse of $15 million, and Tank likely took home somewhere in the neighborhood of $30 million.
With that money, Tank can afford to purchase property in Manhattan in New York if he prefers apartment living. Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Atherton, or Hillsborough property in California would be nice if Gervonta wants to live in prestigious areas.
Hopefully, Gervonta doesn’t lose his money with foolish spending because it would be a sad statement if he’s broke in the future and still trying to fight in his 40s.
Moving forward, what’s essential is Tank Davis stays out of jail and doesn’t end up in prison, throwing away the years he has left in his boxing career.
