Jermell Charlo on Tim Tszyu: “I’m knocking that b**ch out”

By Adam Baskin: Jermell Charlo piped up on social media tonight, sending a warning message to his WBO mandatory Tim Tszyu that he’s going to knock him out when he returns to the ring.

Jermell didn’t say on his video tonight when he plans on starting his training camp. He obviously can’t do that right now because his trainer Derrick James is training Errol Spence for his July 29th fight against Terence Crawford.

Chilling by the pool, the inactive undisputed junior middleweight champion Charlo (35-1, 19 KOs) reminded Tszyu that he’s the “king” of the 154-lb division.

Jermell has been out of the ring for over a year, dealing with a broken arm. He should have already returned to the ring a long time ago, but it seems like his arm is healing slowly.

Some boxing believes Jermell is lazy and doesn’t want to resume his career because that would involve pain and suffering. If Charlo doesn’t return to the ring soon, the WBO will need to start thinking about stripping him of that belt.

They don’t need him sitting inactive for two years like his twin brother Jermaall and not defending his title. What’s weird is how both Charlos have slowed their careers down simultaneously and stopped fighting.

“When they release me, I’m knocking that b**ch out from Australia, and I ain’t going to say nothing else,” said Jermell Charlo on social media, talking about Tim Tszyu.

“Yeah, this mother f**ker running his mouth and talk.  You got to get confirmation from all the mother f**kers that you fought some because I’ve done my due diligence in the world of boxing,” said Jermell.

Of course, when a champion has been inactive for as long as Charlo, you can’t take him seriously as being the king of anything.

The more active fighters like Tszyu have passed the 33-year-old Charlo by, and now he’s got to come back and prove himself.

Tszyu (22-0, 16 KOs) will be back in the ring on June 18th, defending his WBO interim junior middleweight title against Carlos Oscamp (35-2, 23 KOs) at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Broadbeach, Australia.

“At 154, I’m the king. I’ve been a king; I’m the king. You got to go try to. You know what Tony Harrison told you. You got this staircase over here.

“Keep building yourself. When I do fight you, b**ch, it’s over. I
don’t play that s**t. Big things in the way.

“Crawford getting knocked the f**k out. I’m out,” said Jermell.
