Adrien Broner wants to hire Bill Hutchinson after beating him on Friday night

By Dan Ambrose: Adrien Broner jokingly told his opponent Bill Hutchinson, who is a lawyer, that he wants to hire him after he beats him this Friday night in their 10 round contest in Miami.

Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) has been out of the ring for a couple of years, and he’ll be taking a warm-up fight against Hutchinson (20-2-4, 9 KOs) this Friday night on FITE.

It’s difficult to know what to expect from the former four division world champion Broner, now 33, because he hasn’t performed at a high level in seven years, and it might be too late.

Hutchinson, 34, isn’t a threat to beating Broner, but if AB is serious about winning world titles at 140, he’s soon going to be having major problems, no matter who he faces.

Broner’s last fight was against Jovanie Santiago in 2021, and he’s going to need to perform better than that for him to beat Hutchinson. The good news is that Broner has lost a lot of weight, and he doesn’t look drained.

He took it off the right way, but whether his leaner, more youthful look will transfer over to a better performance on Friday night against Hutchinson.

Adrien Broner: “Usually when they say Adrien Broner, it’s usually something f***d up coming behind it. But what they did is, they f**ked up and let me and Don get together. That’s the real problem, and I could tell y’all right now. I ain’t looking past this man,” said Adrien Broner during today’s final press conference for his fight against Bill Hutchinson on Friday night.

“I will become world champion again under the Don King, and it’s bigger things to come, but the first thing is take care of Bill Hutchinson.

“Everybody out there knows it’s a public record. After I f**k you up, I need you. I’m going to hire you because I need an attorney anyway because I’m about to fire my old attorney, and you know now that I know that you’re a fighter, I know that you’re a fight for me in the courtroom.

“I want everybody to come out June 9th. It’s going to be crazy. I’m back, and this is just the beginning man AB & DK, this s**t is over with.

Bill Hutchinson: “First and foremost, I am a fighter, and Adrien’s going to see that on Friday night, and he’s going to have his hands full. So I appreciate the offer for some work. After the fight, we can talk about that, but make no mistake, in the ring, I’m going to do everything that I can to take his head clean off of his shoulders. So let’s go to work.”

Don King: “I didn’t have the pleasure of doing business with Adrien because I had some of the small guys like Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, and Holyfield and I had this little problem. I couldn’t get to the big ones because I had these small things that kept me so busy, Larry Holmes, so I couldn’t keep everything going.

“So now all of them has gone and retired and moved out but the trouble is still here and he found me and it’s so dear.  Because now, we can give him the time that he realizes, recognizes, and appreciates to bring him more titles.

“He said he wants to fight to unify the title and defend the title. So there so ain’t no stopping us now, we’re on the move. So we’re going to have an exciting evening of boxing and we want everyone to
tell all their friends to be a disciple.

“Let them know that you’re going to come and see the fight. If you can’t see it in that in the sovereignty and prosperity.”
