Tyson Fury mouthing off, complaining no wants to fight him

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury has finally come out of the woodwork to complain about how none of the top heavyweights want to fight him. Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) says he’s “tried” to fight all the top guys, naming Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua, Zhilei Zhang, and Andy Ruiz.

IBF, WBA & WBO heavyweight champion Usyk has a different take, saying that he’s tried to negotiate a deal with ‘greedy belly’ Fury for a fight in December, but they’ve reached an “impasse” in the talks. It doesn’t sound promising that the two will be meeting in December for the undisputed championship in Saudi.

Fury’s greed and desire for more have repeatedly left him empty-handed, stuck fighting godawful journeymen Derek Chisora & Dillian Whyte. I hate to say it, but that’s the direction Fury is headed in for December.

Usyk didn’t say what the hold-up is, but it’s likely Fury asking for a king’s ransom, wanting the entire pie and making it impossible for the fight to get made.

That’s been a problem with Fury, who just can’t seem to negotiate deals any longer with the heavyweights that the boxing public wants to see him fight.

Besides coming up empty-handed with Uyk, Fury couldn’t put a fight together with Joshua or Ruiz, and those would have been matches that the fans would have wanted to watch.

“I’ve not fought since December. Through no fault of my own, I’ve tried to fight midget Usyk, and he’s not wanted anything. I tried to fight AJ, and he didn’t want no smoke,”  said Tyson Fury on Instagram.

“I’ve tried to fight everybody. Andy Ruiz asked for 20 million. Silly little b***tard. I don’t know where he’s getting that from. Zhang was a good little fight, but Joyce wants his rematch, and that’s not happening now.

“So, I’m looking to fight anybody anytime, anyplace, anywhere.  I can’t wait to fight AJ, Usyk, or whoever is out there; I’m f***ing you up because I’m the baddest man on the planet,”  said Fury.

It’s pure theater with Fury because he clearly doesn’t want any part of fighting Usyk or Joshua, for that matter. Sure, Fury mouths all the words, saying he wants to fight Usyk & AJ, but when it comes to negotiating, he fails to back up his tough talk.

Some boxing fans believe that Deontay Wilder knocked the taste for fighting out of Fury’s mouth when he had him on the canvas twice in their fight in 2021, and he doesn’t want to relive that terrible experience by taking on someone that has the talent to do that to him.
