Tyson Fury looks worried, wants Usyk to fight at Wembley stadium

By Charles Brun: A worried-looking Tyson Fury posted a message to Oleksandr Usyk today, asking him to fight in the summer at Wembley Stadium with the same purse split percentage over their previous failed negotiations.

‘The Gypsy King’ Fury’s sudden decision NOT to wait until December to fight Usyk suggests that his attempts at making a deal with the Saudis have failed, and now he’s stuck trying to make the fight in London for far less money. There’s no other reason Fury wants the Usyk fight in London other than Saudi Arabia.

This sudden urge to fight Usyk in London reeks of Fury having priced himself out with the Saudis. Promoter Eddie Hearn says Fury wanted 120 million, which, if true,  is a good reason why the Saudis balked at giving him the loot that he was looking for.

Fury says he doesn’t care about the rematch because he won’t need one, but he’s willing to give it to IBF, WBA & WBO champion Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) if he wants one.

Interestingly, Fury didn’t give the percentage for the purse split for the fight with Usyk for the rematch. Fury conveniently left that part out.

“Let’s get it on; we have had our fun now. Let’s rumble🙏 Make the right decision. The ball is in your court,” said Tyson Fury on Instagram about his sudden desire to fight Oleksandr Usyk in the summer at Wembley Stadium in England.

“I think he’s frustrated. He wants the fight [with Usyk], and we want the fight. He says boxing has gone to pot without him. I don’t agree to that, but it’s great to have him around and great to have him part of the mix,” said Eddie Hearn to iFL TV about Fury emerging from his dormant stage to begin posting on Instagram since yesterday.

“He’s a great fighter and a great personality. So hopefully, his promoters can do what they need to do to deliver him a fight, and we’ll see him back in the ring.

“It’s never good to receive that kind of message, especially publically, but he’s trying to get something going. That’s what he does. He wants to force these guys to give him a fight, and we’ll see what happens,” said Hearn reacting to being told that Fury posted a message saying that he wants his promoter to get him a fight or give him his contract back.
