By Dan Ambrose: Showtime All Acess video shows Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis putting the scare into the 22-year-old brother of Ryan Garcia before their fight on April 22nd.

Ryan sent his brother Sean Garcia to the locker room of Tank Davis to watch him have his hands wrapped before the fight.

Tank (29-0, 27 KOs) thought it was odd that Ryan sent an inexperienced person to watch him get his hands wrapped because, ideally, it should have been someone that had been in the game for a long time, like Ryan’s trainer Joe Goosen to oversee something as crucial as this.

Rather than keep his thoughts to himself, Tank openly criticized the move by Ryan to send his kid brother to watch him have his hands wrapped.

Tank let Sean know that he was inexperienced and had no clue what happens with hand wraps when they get wet. When Sean fired back the harmless comment, “I know enough,” Tank told him that he would feel the punch he hit Ryan with during the fight.

The rest is history. Tank Davis efficiently handled the prospect Ryan Garcia by dropping him twice en route to scoring a seventh-round knockout in their fight on DAZN & Showtime PPV at the T-Mobile Arena.

Ryan, 24, came into the fight without experience against genuine world-class opposition. He talked his way into the enormous $15 million payday fight with Tank Davis by calling him out 24/7 for two solid years.

Some believe that Ryan Garcia got the fight only because he has 10 million followers on Instagram, which Tank’s management likely saw as an opportunity to make easy money without risk, effort, or hard work on his part.

The money would come from Ryan’s 10 million Instagram followers, who would purchase the fight on PPV, and Tank wouldn’t need to put his career at risk by fighting a talented 135-pounder like Shakur Stevenson.

Gervonta Davis: “He [Sean Garcia] don’t know nothing. He’s a kid; he’s still wet behind the ears,” Tank said in a conversation picked up by Showtimes All Access in his locker room in reaction to Ryan Garcia sending his 22-year-old brother Sean Garcia to watch Gervonta’s hands being wrapped before their fight on April 22nd.

“The wrap gets hard when you get wet. He ain’t going to know. He ain’t been in the game long enough to know.”

Sean Garcia: “I know enough. You’re going to feel it right away.”

Gervonta Davis: “I’m going to feel it right away? I’m a different type of beast. I’m going to hit him so hard that you’re going feel it.”

Sean Garcia: “That’s a hard punch.”
