By Adam Baskin: Ryan Garcia doesn’t look drained ahead of his 136-lb catchweight fight this Saturday night against Geervonta ‘Tank’ Davis in Las Vegas. Ringry doesn’t appear weight-drained at all, and he seems confident as if he’s coming with kryptonite to use on the 28-year-old Davis to send him down to defeat.

If Tank (28-0, 26 KOs) was hoping that the 5’10” Ryan (23-0, 19 KOs) was going to be weight drained, looking underfed, as if he came out of a warzone, he’s got to be disappointed because Kingry appears to be in total health.

If Tank loses this fight, he will be the laughingstock of the boxing world because the fans will view him as having tried to cheat his way to victory with the weight stipulations and still failed.

Ryan agreed to the two weight stipulations – 136-lb catchweight and ten-pound rehydration clause – to get the fight against Gervonta.

Tank placed those stipulations into the contract to give himself an advantage, but it looks like he wasted his time and should have taken the high road to show class.

Tank should have gone without the 136-lb catchweight and ten-lb rehydration clause because if he wins, he won’t get the credit he’s looking to get. If Tank loses the fight to Ryan, he’s going to be ridiculed forever by fans.

Gervonta vs. Garcia will be shown on Showtime PPV this Saturday, April 22nd, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

“The experience was great. This time around, we’re older now, there are more skills involved, and now let’s see how it’s going to go this time,” said Keyshawn Davis to Fighthype when asked what it was like training with Gervonta Davis.

“When I got in the ring, he surprised me with how much defense he had. Of course, I was looking out for his power. Off the rip, I was looking out for his power,” said Keyshawn about his sparring with Tank Davis.

“When I was attacking and trying to set stuff up, he’s got good upper body movement, and he’s got some good legs when he uses them. He surprised me with his defense.

“It was a very technical sparring match, and I definitely learned his defense. I definitely learned that the’s got some great defense. It’s not really easy to hit this guy [Gervonta]. I had to work to get to him. But overall, it was great to work with him,” said Keyshawn.
