Gervonta Davis has a mole in Ryan Garcia camp, leaking info

By Adam Baskin: A gleeful-looking Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis made it known today that he’s got a snitch in Ryan Garcia’s camp, leaking training information to him to keep tabs on him ahead of their fight on April 22nd on Showtime PPV.

The mole that’s snitching on Ryan (23-0, 19 KOs) leaked info to Tank (28-0, 26 KOs) about him getting hurt with a body shot during camp, which seems to have made Gervonta very happy.

With a snitch giving Tank updates on what Ryan is working on and his flaws are, it gives the Baltimore native even more of an advantage than he already has heading into their fight this month at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

With Tank knowing what’s going down with Ryan in training, plus having the weight stipulations going for him, it’s an impossible situation for Kingry.

If you’re Ryan, you should take a big broom and shoo your current batch of sparring partners out of the gym and get a fresh batch and keep an eye on them so that they don’t leak info to Tank.

What Ryan needs is to clean house with his sparring partners and find some that will keep quiet about what’s going on. Dump the whole bunch of sparring partners because you don’t know which one is the mole.

The obvious question is, why does Tank need so many advantages for this fight? Isn’t it enough that he’s got these weight stipulations slanting the scale in his favor?

  • 10-lb rehydration clause

“He got hurt to the body. He don’t think I know that. It wasn’t no fight,” said Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis to Fighthype about him having inside info on Ryan Garcia getting hurt during training camp.

“Ask him. Just let him know that he got hurt to the body,” said a grinning Gervonta about the secret information that he’s received about Ryan getting hurt with a shot to the bread basket in camp.

“Word get around real fast. He got hurt to the body. Yeah, for sure, what he don’t got at all,” said a smiling Tank Davis when told that fighters often have ‘eyes and ears in other fighters’ camp, keeping tabs on them.’ You either got it [a spy], or you don’t.

“He come from a whole different side of the world, a different side. We stand for two different things, and it’s going to show,” said Gervonta.
