By Vince D’Writer:  Super-Middleweight contender Shadasia Green remains unbeaten as she scored a sixth round TKO victory over the former WBA/IBF champion Elin Cederroos (9-2, 4 KOs) on Saturday night February 4th at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden.

Shadasia Green’s goal is a match with undisputed super middleweight champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn. Green entered her February 4th bout with a big opportunity in regards to making a statement against a former opponent of Crews-Dezurn.

At the start of the opening round, Cederroos came out applying immediate pressure as she forced Green to fight off of her back foot. Green was able to effectively shoot the jab, but Cederroos landed a couple of solid right hand shots.

Round 2 was highlighted by a moment of both fighters standing in the pocket and trading punches. Unfortunately the problems for Elin Cederroos started in the 3rd round when Green connected with a big right hand that sent Cederroos down to the canvas.

The former champion was able to survive the round, and she appeared to recover quickly as she came out in the fourth applying pressure. Green seemed to be more comfortable fighting off the back foot as she landed the jab and multiple counter right hands.

The sixth round would end up being the final round as Green transitioned from fighting off her back foot, to pressing forward and being the aggressor. Green proceeded to hit Cederroos with multiple overhand rights followed by a big left hook.

Cederroos was in serious trouble as she was getting bounced around the ring while operating on extremely shaky legs. After forcing her opponent into a corner, Green hit Elin Cederroos with a right followed by a left hook that forced the referee to step in and put a halt to the contest.

With the win Shadasia Green (12-0, 11 KOs) retains her WBC silver title and won the vacant WBA Continental America’s title. The latest addition to Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions made an impressive debut under her new promotional banner.

For those keeping score, undisputed super middleweight champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn beat Elin Cederroos by 10-round unanimous decision while Shadasia Green defeated Cederroos by 6th round TKO. Green has made it perfectly clear that she wants to fight Franchon Crews-Dezurn next.

The question is does the undisputed champ want the dangerous knockout artist Shadasia Green next? Women’s boxing had an electrifying year in 2022 because all the big fights were made. Hopefully the trend continues in 2023, and it includes an epic clash between Franchon Crews-Dezurn and Shadasia Green.
