By Vince Dwriter: A trio of up-and-coming contenders will be featured on the November 12 fight card, as two rising stars in the 140-pound weight class will put their talent on display in separate bouts, but in the ranks of the featherweight division, Raymond “Savage” Ford (12-0-1, 6 KOs) is ready to showcase his skills when he faces Sakaria Lukas at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, live on DAZN.

Raymond Ford has reached the point in his career where every bout is considered a step-up fight. The 23-year-old has produced some great performances inside the squared circle, and he’s confident he will continue the trend on Saturday night.

A native of Camden, New Jersey, Ford is experiencing a steady rise in the fight game as he’s currently ranked #8 by the WBA. Ford has the desire to fight the elite boxers in his division, and if he can manufacture an impressive win over Lukas, he could put himself in a position to be 3 to 4 fights away from challenging for a world title.

The last time Ford was in the ring, he defeated Richard Medina Jr (13-1, 7 KOs) by way of a unanimous decision. The bout lacked drama because Raymond Ford went into savage mode and put on a boxing clinic. He overwhelmed Medina by controlling the distance, utilizing his speedy jab, and landing sharp combinations all night long.

Medina was completely outclassed as Ford was able to cruise through the ten round contest and collect his twelfth career victory. When Raymond Ford steps in the ring on Saturday night and makes the attempt to earn win number thirteen, he may face a more difficult challenge.

His opponent Sakaria Lukas (25-1-1, 17 KOs) is a boxer who doesn’t possess high-level hand speed, so he relies heavily on timing because he likes to operate in the pocket and sit on his shots. Lukas uses very little movement because he’s content with standing in front of his opposition. Ford is more of a pure boxer, but in his most recent fights, he’s shown that he has the ability to press forward and assume the role of the aggressor.

The 38-year-old Sakaria Lukas has the edge in experience, but Raymond Ford holds the advantages regarding overall skill set, hand speed, and ring generalship. Ford feels like he’s the better fighter, and he’s ready to prove it on Saturday night.

“Every fight I fight is a step-up. Y’all say it’s a step up every time, and I’m just looking forward to it. We coming in here to dominate.

Whether it’s a ten round decision, or I stop him early, it really doesn’t matter, but I’m definitely coming out victorious.”

The night of November 12 will be an exciting night of boxing because in addition to the rising star Raymond “Savage” Ford, the co-main will feature Richardson Hitchins (14-0, 6 KOs) vs. Yomar Alamo (20-1-1, 12 KOs) and in the main event, Cleveland native Montana Love (18-0-1, 9 KOs) will face Steve Spark (15-2, 14 KOs).
