Adrien Broner looking slow & fat preparing for BLK Prime fight

By Jim Calfa: Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner posted a workout video of him training on Thanksgiving, and he’s looking slow & fat for his first fight of a 12-month, three-fight, eight-figure deal for BLK Prime.

The 33-year-old Broner was sporting a huge belly, making it look like he’d singlehandedly eaten an entire 25-lb turkey along with the pies on Thanksgiving.

Broner is looking so slow that there’s no way of picturing him winning any fight at 140 or 147, and that’s going to be bad news for BLK Prime because they’re paying him big bank.

It’s unclear if Broner has been training since announcing his eight-figure deal with BLK Prime a month ago, as he looks like he’s not seen the inside of a gym for many months.

Assuming this is Broner’s condition after a month of hard work, he will need to hire a nutritionist to help with his diet and have someone guard his refrigerator night & day to keep him from sneaking snacks.

If the former four-division world champion Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) is going to make it through his three-fight deal with BLK Prime with any victories, he’s going to need to lose a lot of weight and increase his hand speed because he’s too slow, even for the 147-lb division.

“I can start back talking like this again in public ’cause I Just signed a 12-month 3-fight deal and eight figures guaranteed with @blkprime,” said Broner a month ago when he announced his signing with BLK Prime.

For BLK Prime’s sake, they need an early escape clause in case Broner bombs out in his first fight of their 12-month deal with him because the last thing they need is for him to lose all three fights.

If BLK Prime allows Broner to fight nothing but dreadfully poor opposition in all three fights with them in the next 12 months, he might get through his contract without getting repeatedly beaten.

The problem is, Broner’s last clear victory was six years ago in 2016, and he’s not going to turn things around at this stage in his career. It doesn’t matter if Broner gets in superb condition. He’s aged too much and lost too much hand speed for him to find success in any weight class, particularly at 147.
