Fury states he’s NOT fighting Joshua next because he missed the deadline today

By Charles Brun: Just moments ago, Tyson Fury announced that he’s officially moving on after Anthony Joshua missed Monday’s 5:00 p.m. deadline that he’d set for him to sign the contract for a December 3rd fight.

Fury never seemed to fancy the fight with Joshua, which would have been a really tough one. Fury was knocked down twice in his last fight against Deontay Wilder last October.

Some boxing fans believe that the referee gave a slow count on the second knockdown, which appeared to save Fury from being counted out.

I mean, it wasn’t as bad as the Jack Dempsey vs. Gene Tunny long-count fight in the 1920s, but it was pretty close. It was the second time Fury dodged a knockout loss to Wilder.

Fury had said earlier today that he wouldn’t extend the deadline for Joshua to sign, so he’s now moving on after AJ failed to put his John Hancock down by the 5 pm. deadline that he’d set.

“Well, guys, it’s official. D-day has come and gone. It’s gone past five o’clock on Monday,” said Tyson Fury on social media. “No contract has been signed.

“It’s officially over for Joshua. He’s now out in the cold with the wolfpack. Forget about it. Idiot, coward, s*** house, bodybuilder. I always knew it. I always knew you didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy King.

“Regardless of what the f*** you say now, I really don’t care. Good luck with your career and your life. End of. Peace out,” said Fury.

You got to wonder what Fury’s promoters Frank Warren and Bob Arum are thinking right now? After all their hard work, Fury throws it all away by choosing to pull out of the contest.

Hopefully, this isn’t going to be something that Fury keeps doing for the remainder of his career.

Winning a title sometimes goes to a fighter’s head, making them think they’re Kingly in some fashion. That might be the problem with Fury. I think it’s more of a case of Fury not liking the idea of fighting Joshua because there’s too much of a chance of him knocking a few chips off Tyson, which would leave him in a depleted state for the Oleksandr Usyk fight next February or March.

When Fury said he wasn’t going to extend the deadline, it showed clearly that he wasn’t eager to take the fight with Joshua. Why else would Fury come up with a wacky deadline and then refuse to extend it?

It shows that Fury never wanted the fight with Joshua in the first place because he would have a lot to lose.

Well, if Fury needs a replacement opponent for his December 3rd fight, he should look in the direction of Joe Joyce.

Of course, we all know that the last thing Fury wants is to mix it up with Joyce and wind up like his good buddy Joseph Parker in getting knocked out.

The guy that Fury is reportedly interested in fighting on December 3rd is ‘Diamond Boy’ Manuel Charr, a fighter that has fought just five times in the last six years.

Charr is well known among hardcore boxing fans, but not with the casuals. They’ve likely never seen him fight because he only rarely competes, and even then, it’s against less than the best.
