By Charles Brun: Anthony Joshua went into full meltdown after the judges’ scores were announced, giving the victory to unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk last Saturday night.

Joshua literally had a tantrum after Usyk was announced as the winner. AJ stormed out of the ring and then came back and went into a foul expletitive-filled rant, some of which painted him as an insecure person.

Apparently, Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) thought he deserved the victory because he grabbed Usyk’s belts and threw them out of the ring. Joshua then confronted Usyk and told him that he’d not be strong and questioned how he won the fight.

“You’re not strong. How did you beat me? How?” said Anthony Joshua in confronting Oleksandr Usyk inside the ring after the fight.

It was pathetic the way Joshua stole the moment for Usyk and made it all about him. Eddie Hearn should have wrestled the mic out of Joshua’s hands and led him out of the arena because it was a terrible meltdown to behold.

“He obviously felt he won the fight. That’s what I felt,” said Frank Warren to iFL TV, reacting to Anthony Joshua throwing Oleksandr Usyk’s belts out of the ring. “His corner was telling him during the fight that he was winning the fight, which I didn’t understand.

“He threw those belts and stormed out of the ring, and by the time he got to the entrance, whether somebody said something to him or he had second thoughts. He came back, and he obviously realized that his actions were a bit foolish.

“He’s done well for himself, extremely well for himself. He can’t say he never had any amateur experience. He fought in the world championships. In the Olympic games, he won a gold medal.

“I felt he got it all wrong at the wrong time, and he tried to make it right in the end by acknowledging Usyk was the champion. I thought he lost the fight, and one of the judges was atrocious.

“That was never a split decision. He [Joshua] got beat by the better man on the night, which eventually he acknowledged. I thought Joshua did better than he did in the last fight.

“I just felt that Usyk was too much for him and certainly in the latter rounds. He was too smart for him, too fast, and he doesn’t seem to be able to cope with it,” said Warren about Joshua.
