Bob Arum  says Tyson Fury “NOT” fighting Derek Chisora next

By Charles Brun: Promoter Bob Arum says Tyson Fury is just having fun with the media about his talk of fighting Derek Chisora next. Arum states that the fight that they’re waiting on is the August 20th Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk rematch.

That’s the fight that Arum will try to make for Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) next, as long as the Joshua-Usyk winner is banged up and needs time to recover from their injuries.

Arum says that when Fury gets up in the morning, he plans on how to rile up the media with his claims. Tuesday’s comment from Fury about wanting to fight the 38-year-old journeyman Chisora was obviously more troll stuff from him.

What made it obvious that Fury was pulling the chains of the media & fans was him saying that Isaac Lowe is his new coach. If Fury were to swap out his current trainer Sugarhill Steward, he’d do it with an established coach.

“The truth is that he gets up in the morning, and he figures how he can best stir up s***,” Bob Arum said to Fight Freaks Unite Tyson Fury “He’s having fun.”

You got to wonder how Chisora feels about Fury using him as a pawn to anger the boxing public. Unless Chisora was in on the gag, he likely believed that Fury was serious about wanting to fight him.

When Chisora finds out what Arum said about Fury just trying to upset people, he’s probably going to be made about it. Fury got Chisora excited about a trilogy match between them.

“Of course not,” Arum said. “Nothing. What are we, crazy? Everybody is waiting for the fight to happen a week from Saturday, and then we’ll explore whether it’s feasible to do a fight for the complete unification. He’s having fun, for Christ’s sake! Don’t take it seriously!

And because he gets so many hits on all these (social media) platforms, he has a built-in audience,” said Arum.
