Tank Davis tells Ryan Garcia to shut his yap after Haney’s win over Kambosos

By Adam Baskin: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis got sick of Ryan Garcia’s social media commentary last Saturday night during the George Kambosos Jr. vs. Devin Haney fight and told him to shut his yap.

Ryan was complaining about the Kambosos-Haney fight being “bland” & “boring,” and Tank had enough of the belly aching from the social media icon.

The way that Ryan (22-0, 18 KOs) was talking, it was likely he was talking like an old champion, a proven star in boxing rather than a YouTuber/Instagram guy, who does the sport on the side.

Sadly, Tank is going to indulge Ryan by giving him a title shot, possibly in December, despite the fact that he’s not proven himself worthy.

When Ryan has had chances for fights against Javier Fortuna, Joseph ‘Jojo’ Diaz Jr, and Haney, he’s opted not to take them.

Instead of fighting those guys, Ryan fought Luke Campbell and Emmanuel Tagoe, two beatable fighters.

Ryan Garcia

“Oh yeah you say shut the f*k up but you were screaming I’m next. You should want this fight, don’t trip your disrespect will be addressed!! Promise you that B****.”

Tank Davis

“Shut the f*** up!”

Ryan Garcia

“Congrats to Haney… but it was definitely just a bland fight, Anyways I’ll just say, you know who I want after Fortuna!!! 🥊 Let them have their rematch lol. Absolutely “Nyquil” type of performance.”

“@Gervontaa, You Watching this stuff?? When We fight don’t let it be like this!!! BORING!!!!

“Considering that it’s an undisputed fight very underwhelming and no urgency by either man. Edge to Kambosos.

“They seemed both off, And off Rythm and now off to round 2.”

Ryan can still fight Pitbull Cruz

“You know, when the times right, the fight will happen,” said Sean Gibbons to Boxing Social about a match between lightweight contenders Ryan Garcia and Isaac Cruz.

“Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia, Pitbull, they’re all in the same mix. Boxings about timing,” Gibbons continued. “So let’s see. The fight [Ryan Garcia vs. Pitbull Cruz] is still out there.

“Pitbull is 24, Ryan is 23, and Gervonta, so I see all those guys fighting. I don’t know who fights first, but I see a great round robin with those three again. If it’s Gervonta and Ryan, then Pitbull will take the winner.

“Just timing. Life is about timing,” said Gibbons in dancing around a question about WHY the Ryan vs. Pitbull Cruz fight couldn’t get made next. “Boxing is about timing. Everything is about timing.

“We both had fights scheduled. We’re going to do our fights, and then let’s see what happens after that. Let’s put it this way. Gervonta is in the mix too,” said Gibbons when asked if Ryan Garcia could face Pitbull after his July 16th fight against Javier Fortuna.

“Gervonta Davis is the biggest draw in boxing at that weight [lightweight]. So, we’ll see what happens, but everything is on the table. Boxing is a very unpredictable sport,” said Gibbons.
