In the first two rounds, the jab of Spence had Ugas with his hands high on the receiving end. In the third round, Ugas finally landed his first solid punch, a right on the chin, getting the attention of Spence. In the final seconds Ugas again landed a right on the chin of Spence.

In the fourth, Spence came back well; though missing half his punches, Ugas did little in return. In the sixth round, Ugas landed an uppercut right, knocking out the mouthpiece of Spence, and referee Laurence Cole stepped between them and did nothing as Ugas landed another right, driving Spence into the ropes which should have been called a knockdown. At the end of the round, it was Spence landing a left double uppercut on the chin of Ugas.

In the eighth round, Spence had the right eye of Ugas almost closed when suddenly referee Cole stepped in, calling in the ring physician to check Ugas, who allowed it to continue. It was all Spence until the final seconds when Ugas landed good body shots in the ninth. In the tenth round again, referee Cole sent Ugas to the ring physician, who halted the fight.

WBA World Welter champ Radzhab “No Mercy” Butaev, 14-1 (11), #146 ½, of Khasavyurt, RUS, lost a split decision to Eimantas Stanionis, 14-0 (9), #146 ½, of Kaunas, LITH, over 12 rounds.

Scores were 114-113, 111-116, and 110-117. Butaev lost a point in the eleventh round for holding.

In the seventh round, it looked like Crowley scored a knockdown, but referee Laurence Cole ruled a slip. In the ninth and tenth rounds, Crowley boxed Lopez well enough for the win.

Scores were 98-91 twice and 99-90.

In co-Main Event No. 4, WBC Lightweight Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz, 23-2-1 (16), #134 ¾, of Mexico City, MEX, stopped former WBA and IBF Feather champ Yuriorkis “El Ciclon de Guantanamo” Gamboa, 30-5 (18), #134 ¼, of Cuba and Miami, FL, @1:32 of the fifth round of a scheduled ten rounds.

In the first round, a right from Cruz on the chin of Gamboa rocked him. At the halfway point, a left hook from Cruz again wobbled Gamboa.

In the second round, a combination from Cruz on the chin and down went Gamboa. In the third round, a left hook on the chin and down went Gamboa. In the fourth round, Cruz scored with a left hook for another knockdown. In the fifth round, Cruz drove Gamboa into the ropes forcing referee Calo-oy to call a halt.

Lightweight Jose Valenzuela, 12-0 (8), #134 ¾, of MEX and Seattle, WA, stopped Olympian Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas, 27-4-2 (19), #134 ½, of Mexico City, MEX, @ 1:25 of the first round of a scheduled ten rounds.

In the first round, a counter left by Valenzuela on the chin and down went Vargas as referee Mark Calo-oy waved it off immediately.
