Devin Haney WORRIED, asking fans to push for Kambosos fight for undisputed

By Sean Jones: Devin Haney is showing signs of being worried & needy with him imploring his fans to save him from being cheated out of his hoped-for undisputed clash with George Kambosos Jr. next in early 2022.

After Haney’s lackluster, clinch-filled win over Joseph ‘Jojo’ Diaz Jr. on December 4th, he needs all the help he can get from his loyal boxing fans for them to HOUND Kambosos into picking him instead of one of the more arguably entertaining fighters looking to face the Australian next.

Sean Jones doesn’t like the approach that Haney is using to get his fans to do the dirty work for him. I mean, if Haney had just put in good a good performance against Jojo Diaz, he’d been in a great position to get the fight with Kambosos.

Haney worried about being cheated

Unfortunately for Haney, he doesn’t have a big enough fans base for them to torment Kambosos into giving him the fight just based on pressure.

Haney is facing heavy competition for the lucrative fight against the Australian Kambosos from these fighters:

  • Vasily Lomachenko
  • Ryan Garcia
  • Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis

Two days after Lomachenko’s impressive victory over Richard Commey last weekend, WBC lightweight champion Haney (27-0, 15 KOs) sent a desperate message to his followers on social media, asking them to keep him from losing out on the match with IBF/WBA/WBC Franchise/WBO 135-lb champion Kambosos.

See what I mean? Does that sound like a desperate dude or what? Haney needs to keep a stiff upper lip and not lose it entirely because it’s not the end of the world if he doesn’t get picked by Kambosos.

I mean, if Haney is as good as he says he is, he shouldn’t have any problems with trying to line up a fight against whoever faces Kambosos and BEATS him in early next year.

At this point, Kambosos loses to everyone on his four-fighter list, including six to eight contenders in the division that aren’t on his list.

Lomachenko & Tank had better performances

Just going by the recent performances from Lomachenko and Tank Davis, it’s easy to exclude Haney from the list as potential opponents for Kambosos because both of their fights were infinitely more exciting than Devin’s sleep-inducing win over Jojo Diaz Jr.

This writer has no words to describe how BORING Haney’s performance was against Jojo Diaz. After that performance, you got to dump Haney from the list to snatch the golden ticket to share the ring with Kambosos.

Haney needs the fight with Kambosos BADLY because if he were to win, it would make him a star overnight and likely mean bigger paydays for him moving forward.

Even it’s just for a short period, Haney would still make a killing until he eventually faces someone good like Lomachenko, Tank, or even Ryan Garcia and is sent crashing down to earth in a heap.
