‘Ryan Garcia is a b****’ – Jojo Diaz wants Tank Davis after Haney fight

By Sean Jones: Joseph ‘Jojo’ Diaz Jr. says he’s done with Ryan Garcia and he doesn’t want to set up anymore fights with him after he pulled out of their scheduled November 27th match saying he injured his hand.

Jojo thinks that Ryan, 23, faked his injury because he’s not interested in fighting top-tier opposition because he’ll lose and that’ll mess up the money he’s bringing in outside of the ring with his business.

If Ryan (21-0, 18 KOs) gets beaten, it would create issues with all revenue that he’s bringing in based on his social media popularity. Ryan has close to 9 million followers on Instagram and 1 million on YouTube.

When you reach the level of 1 million followers on YouTube, you’re bringing in excellent money.

Ryan pulling out of his fight with Jojo Diaz was the second one he pulled out of in 2021, as he was scheduled to face Javier Fortuna on July 9th in a headliner on DAZN. For that one, Ryan backed out of the fight due to an anxiety problem.

“I don’t even want to deal with Ryan Garcia anymore. Ryan Garcia is b**** and he’s always going to be a b****,” said Jojo Diaz to iFL TV.

He’s always going to be pulling out or faking an injury or doing some s*** where he’s not going to be wanting to fight a top-tier opponent.

“I feel like Ryan Garcia is just based on his social media. He’s making a lot of money outside of the ring where he doesn’t want to jeopardize him losing inside of the ring because it’ll fall back and cause a lot of ruckus inside of his personal life with all the income he’s making right now.

“I don’t think Ryan Garcia is ever going to want to fight a top-tier opponent. I feel like he’s going to want to fight guys that he knows he’s going to knock out. So after I beat Devin Haney, if Teofimo Lopez wants to fight or anyone wants to fight, I’m willing to fight.

“Gervonta Davis, that’s the guy I want t fight next,” said Jojo Diaz. “After this fight, I want to fight Gervonta Davis because I feel like it’ll be a fan-friendly fight because I’m the type of guy that wants to bang on the inside and give the fight fans what they want to see, and so is Gervonta Davis.

“Gervonta Davis is not like Devin Haney in wanting to box around and run on his bicycle and try and look cute. Davis is going to try and knock you out and hurt you. That’s the type of fighter I am also, so it’ll be an exciting fight for the fans,” said Diaz.

If Jojo Diaz beats Haney, you can bet that Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn will be pushing hard for a rematch.

If Tank isn’t in a unification match with Jojo, perhaps Teofimo Lopez will take the fight. Hearn is planning on matching Haney against Teofimo next if Devin defeats Jojo on December 4th. If Haney loses that fight, it makes sense for Jojo to be the one to face Teofimo.
