Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) called the former four-division world champion Canelo (56-1-2, 38 KOs) a “drug cheat” and a “mother-f****,” and it led to a brawl.

Canelo pushed Plant during their face-off, and then punched him in the face, causing a cut over his right eye. As of now, we don’t know if Plant’s cut will heal in time for him to go through with the November 6th fight date.

Canelo didn’t seem to understand what Plant meant by calling him a “mother f***,” perhaps thinking that he meant his own mother.

It would have been nice if a translator was there to help Canelo understand what Plant was telling him. Canelo lives in the U.S, but he seems to be slow in learning the language.

Assuming Plant’s cut heals quickly, he’ll be facing WBA/WBC/WBO 168-lb champion Canelo on November 6th on Showtime PPV at the MGM Grans Garden in Las Vegas. The winner of the fight will be the four-belt undisputed super middleweight champion.

Ryan Garcia predicts Canelo KOs Plant in eighth

“He’ll knock him out in the eighth round,” said Ryan Garcia to the media about his prediction of Canelo knocking out Plant.

“You can never say someone is cheating when they’ve never tested positive for anything.

“That’s what I found disrespectful from Devin Haney as well as Plant because accusations like that, you can’t do that.

“I would never do that from anybody. If you were never caught cheating or tested positive on anything, I would never call you anything.

“I don’t know anything about that. I was just as surprised as anybody else,” said Ryan Garcia about his gym-mate Oscar Valdez testing positive for a PED last August. “What am I supposed to do? I don’t know,” said Ryan.

Well, Canelo did test positive for clenbuterol in 2018, and that’s a performance-enhancing drug, If Ryan is unaware of that due to his youth, you can give him a pass.

That’s obviously why Plant was calling Canelo a “drug cheat” because he tested positive for a PED and he was subsequently suspended for six months.

Whether Canelo can knockout Plant or not is debatable. At this point, we’re hoping the fight between them takes place on November 6th and doesn’t get postponed because of Plant’s cut.
