By Ken Hissner: At the Pabellon de la Vall d’Hebron, Barcelona, Cataluria, Spain, Saturday, over DAZN, Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing), presented in the Main Event Spain’s Kerman Lejarraga defeated Frances Dylan Charrat by a majority TD after 1:00 of the tenth round for the vacant EBU European Super Welter title after an accidental clash of heads causing a bad cut on the left eyelid of Lejarraga.
In the Main Event Kerman Lejarraga, 33-2 (25), #153 ¼, of Bilbao, Pais Vasco, Spain, defeated by technical decision over Dylan Charrat, 20-1-1 (6), #153 ¼, of Cannes, Alpes-Maritimes, France, after 2:00 in the tenth round of a scheduled 12 rounds, for the vacant EBU European Super Welter title.
In the first five rounds, Lejarraga held a 3-2 edge in rounds with an effective jab when he didn’t paw with it out working Lejarraga. In the sixth and seventh rounds, Charrat used his jab and right uppercuts. In the eighth and ninth, it was Lejarraga outscoring Charrat. In the tenth round, Lejarraga did well in the first minute until Charrat came in with his head into the right eye of Lejarraga, causing a nasty cut on his eyelid. The referee, Daniel Van de Wiele, allowed it to go on for another ten seconds before calling in the ring physician, who waved it off.
In the tenth round, Lejarraga suffered a bad cut on his right eyelid due to an accidental clash of heads, bringing the fight to an end.
