What Boxer Holds the Record for the Most Successful Title Defenses?

By Ken Hissner:  When U.S Heavyweight champion Joe “The Brown Bomber” Louis successfully defended his title some 25 times that was in the heavyweight division only, but most felt in all of boxing.

There are boxers like Germany’s Flyweight, Super Flyweight, and Light Flyweight champion Regina Halmich who defended her title some 44 times but 13 against boxers with no wins. Sound like Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s 50th fight?

Some of the other champions defenses are as follows:
