By Matt Lieberman: Sky Sports announced today that they’ll be showing the popular Floyd Mayweather Jr’s eight-round exhibition match against YouTuber star Logan Paul on Box Office PPV on June 6th live on Sky Sports Box Office from the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The hulking 200-lb YouTube star Logan, who has 23 million subscribers to his channel, will be trying to pit his size, power, and youth against the unmatched boxing skills of the ‘Money Man’ Mayweather.

It’s not going to be an easy task for Logan to defeat Mayweather, but you can’t rule out an upset for the powerful YouTuber based on his strength.

Logan has been working on a nifty uppercut that he plans on employing against Mayweather to take advantage of a weakness he showed in his fight with Conor McGregor in 2017.

Mayweather’s unbeaten record won’t be on the line

Floyd has generated an incredible 1.67 billion in revenue with 24M pay-per-view buys during his 21-year pro career.

The price still hasn’t been revealed yet by Sky Box Office, but in the U.S, it’s going for a relatively inexpensive $49.99, which is an excellent deal for the entertainment value this card will supply.

Mayweather’s 50-0 record won’t be on the line for the fight with Logan, but it’s possible we could see it in play against his brother Jake Paul later this year.

The 44-year-old former six-division world champion Mayweather will be looking to show whether he’s still got enough in the tank to defeat the hulking heavy-handed cruiserweight Logan (0-1) in an eight-round bout.

On the undercard, former two-division world champion Badou Jack battles former WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal in a rematch.

Also on the card, former junior middleweight champion Jarrett Hurd faces Luis Arias in a fight that is expected to be filled with fireworks from start to finish.

“We’re hugely excited to be showing Floyd Mayweather’s blockbuster exhibition bout with Logan Paul on Sky Sports Box Office,” said Adam Smith of Sky Sports.  “We cannot wait to welcome back a boxing legend who always guarantees showmanship and razor-sharp skills.

“He’ll [Logan Paul] be determined to emerge with his reputation intact from a daunting challenge against the majestic Floyd Mayweather.”

Logan’s best chance to beat Mayweather is to take the fight to him in the early rounds to get to him while he’s still fresh and powerful. In Logan’s fight against KSI in 2019, he faded after the third round and wound up losing a six-round decision.

Mike Tyson: Champions don’t have the views the Paul’s get

“Floyd is better than all the fighters right now, and he’s fighting a YouTuber,” said Mike Tyson on Hotboxin. “He’s making more money than the champions Crawford and the other guy.

The real champions don’t even have that many views,” Tyson said about the Pauls’ social media attention. “They’d be happy if they had a million views. These guys get 80 million views.”

Everybody wants to kill him,” Iron Mike added. “That’s why you wanna kick his ass because you get envious of him, it’s easy to hate those guys.”
