By Ken Hissner: At the Palau Olimpic Vall d’Hebron, Barcelona, Spain, Friday, in the Main Event Matchroom Boxing – Eddie Hearn presented EBU Super Lightweight champion Sandor “Ambassador” Martin of Spain defending his title easily defeating the UK’s Kay “Special K” Prosper.

In the Main Event southpaw Sandor “Ambassador” Martin, 38-2 (13), of Barcelona, SP, defeated Kay “Special K” Prosper, 14-2-1 (7), of Luton, UK, over 12 rounds.

In the third round with his back to the corner a right from Martin on the chin almost dropped Prosper a minute into the round but Prosper managed to get to the end of the round. In the fourth round Martin took it but suffered a bloody nose from the aggressive Prosper.

In the fifth round Prosper again returned to southpaw for some reason and it didn’t help for that was what got him in trouble in the third round. From the fourth through the seventh Martin continued showing his superiority over Prosper who was obviously in over his head in this one though he never stopped trying.

In the eighth round Prosper was doing better when the referee suddenly stopped the action and took a point from Prosper for some unknown reason to all including the commentators. In the eleventh round again the referee took away a point from Prosper for rabbit punching. In the twelfth and final round Martin continued to be one step ahead of the much less experienced Prosper easily outboxing him.

Scores were 119-107, 117-109 and 117-110 with even Prosper applauding the decision. Martin didn’t need the ref’s help but got it.
