Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul – official for February 20 on pay-per-view

By Allan Fox: It’s now official that Floyd Mayweather Jr will be facing popular Youtuber Logan Paul on February 20th in an exhibition match on Fanmio pay-per-view.

The price for the Mayweather vs. Paul exhibition match is $24.95 for boxing fans who purchase it early before the buys reach one million, according to the Fanmio website.

After one million buys are sold, the Mayweather-Paul pay-per-view price will jump to $39.99. By December 29th, the price will increase to $59.99, but it doesn’t say anything about that price being tied into a certain amount of buys.

In other words, it appears $59.99 will be the price beginning on December 29th regardless of how many buys the fight generates up to that point.

The next price increase is $69.99, which starts on February 11th and stays at that level up until February 20th when Mayweather and Logan meet up. You’ve got to figure that most of the PPV buys will take place the week of the Mayweather-Paul match.

$69.99 is a big piece of change in this economy with high unemployment due to the pandemic that has shutdown businesses left and right since last year.

This fight won’t count on Mayweather or Logan’s record due to it being an exhibition match.

It’ll be interesting to see if anyone buys the Mayweather-Logan exhibition match, as it’s not a compelling match.

If Mayweather wanted to fight one of the Paul’s, it would be far more interesting for him to take on Jake Paul, who has one-punch power and is incredibly dangerous, even though his boxing skills are rudimentary.

The location for the exhibition match still hasn’t been revealed, but if it’s in the U.S, as one would expect, it’ll be the first fight for Mayweather since his win over UFC star Conor McGregor in 2017.

There’s no word yet about which fighters will be packaged with the Mayweather vs. Paul undercard, but it’s going to need to be someone decent.

This is a horrible mismatch as it is because Logan has major stamina problems, and he’s 0-1 as pro.

The only thing that Logan has with is far more talented brother Jake Paul is blond hair. Aside from that, Logan has none of Jake’s talent for boxing, and he likely never will.

Logan’s poor stamina is troubling, as he looked out of breath doing shadow boxing in the lead up to his professional fight against KSI.

Logan fought last year and lost a six-round split decision against fellow Youtuber KSI on November 9th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Mayweather will be giving away a lot of weight to Logan, who is a cruiserweight. That’s five divisions above Mayweather’s best weight class of welterweight at 147. For Mayweather to be taking on a cruiserweight it shows how confident he is against Logan.

Again, if Mayweather were fighting Jake Paul, he’d have a lot more to worry about. Unless Jake took it easy on Mayweather the way Mike Tyson did against Roy Jones Jr in their recent exhibition match, it could end badly for Floyd.
