Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller blaming his recent drug test on a sex pill

By Dan Ambrose:  American heavyweight Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller is blaming his latest positive test for a banned PED on a sex pill, according to the Mail sport. Miller (23-0-1, 20 KOs), who hasn’t fought since 2018, says that the drug, ‘Black Ant King’, has the banned performance-enhancing substance GW1516 as one of the ingredients.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission is expected to make a ruling on Miller’s case by October. At that time, we’ll learn whether ‘Big Baby’ Miller’s ‘Black Ant King’ excuse will hold water with NSAC. If so, then Miller will be getting another chance for his career. It would be surprising, but in boxing, this is standard. Fighters get many opportunities, especially when they have shown talent.

‘Big Baby’ Miller, 32, doesn’t say if he has proof of purchase of the Blank Ant King pills, so it’s unclear whether the excuse will work with the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Miller was scheduled to fight earlier this year against Jerry Forrest on July 9 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Paradise, Nevada.

Arum: Miller could get 2-year suspension or lifetime ban

As a result of the positive test, Miller’s fight with the little known fighter Forrest was canceled. Miller had just completed a six-month suspension for testing positive for banned drugs in 2019.

He’d been recently signed by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who wanted to give him a second chance and was hoping to rebuild him and put him in some big fights. But after the positive test for the Jerry Forrest fight, Arum wasn’t sure what was in store for Miller in terms of next suspension.

“He could be looking at two years and may never fight again,” Arum said to The Daily Mail. ‘This is something he caused himself and he has to face the music with the Nevada Commission and it’s as simple as that.”

It’s difficult to imagine Miller being banned for life or even two years by the Commision. That’s unheard of, and he’s already been out of the ring for two years as it is. The last time Miller fught was back in November 2018 when he wiped out Bogdan Dinu in four rounds.

If the Nevada Commission were to hand down a two-year suspension to Miller beginning in October, it would mean that he’ll have been out of the ring for four years by the time he’s eligible to fight again.

Miller will be 34 in two years, and while that’s not old, it would be dififuclt for him to recapture the form that he previously had.

Big Baby planning on shutting people up

“Everybody wants to point the finger but not everybody has the right information,” Miller said to the Daily Mail. ‘The levels I failed for in this case right now were so minute. And with the EPO, you need to use that for months at a time if you want to get any muscle benefits not just one shot.

“Anyone who knows me knows I’m not that person and we are going to prove everybody wrong. I have spent thousands of dollars of my own money trying to find out what’s happened.

“I’m going to shut them up. The proof is in the pudding. It’s right there. I’ve been truthful from the beginning to the end. The truth will set you free and I believe in that. If you go by the book and by the law, this case is innocent,” said Miller.

Jarrell will be a hot commodity if cleared by NSAC

If the Nevada Commission clears Miller, then Top Rank will have another talented heavyweight to plug into their schedule. As long as Miller can perform at the same level that he did before his two suspensions, he’ll be a terrific asset for the promotional company.

Miller will have to test negative for his fights, and you’ve got to believe that he’ll be carefully watched by the fans, Commissions, and the promoters. With everything that’s happened to Miller since 2019, he’s going to have a lot of attention on him.

Miller should be a millionaire by now from his fight against Joshua and the subsequent matches that he would have gotten. Instead, he’s in limbo, trying to restart what once was a promising career. Before last year’s positive test for GW1516, Miller had wins over the following heavyweights:

  • Bogdan Dino
  • Tomasz Adamek
  • Gerald Washington
  • Johann Duhaupas
  • Mariusz Wach
  • Fred Kassi

If Miller is able to come back from this to get a big money fight against Tyson Fury and or Anthony Joshua, it would be one of the biggest comebacks the sport of boxing has ever seen. It doesn’t matter if Miller loses to them. Just to be able to get a rack at one of those champions after everything that’s happened, it would be a miracle.

The Forrest fight was just a tune-up level opponent, and it wasn’t supposed to be a big deal for Miller. That’s why it took many boxing fans by surprise when Miller tested positive for GW1516.

This substance is one of the banned substances that he’d tested positive for in 2019 when he was scheduled to challenge IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, in June in New York.
