Ryan Garcia LECTURES Gervonta Davis

By Aragon Garcia: Ryan ‘Kingry’ Garcia gave Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis one of his pearls of wisdom earlier on Tuesday after asked his followers to pick a winner between the two in a hypothetical fight.

The unbeaten lightweight phenom Kingry Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) let WBA ‘regular’ 135-pound champion Davis (23-0, 22 KOs) know that he should be asking himself the question of who’s better rather than looking for his fans to validate him.

Tank knows what to do if he wants Garcia fight

Davis should be pushing his promoters at Mayweather Promotions to start negotiations with Golden Boy Promotions if he really wants the fight with Ryan Garcia.

Instead of asking his fans to boost his ego by showing their support – or non-support – of him in a future fight with Ryn, Tank needs to give his promoters their marching orders. MAKE the fight with King Ryan pronto.

Tank Davis is spinning his wheels with the current opposition he’s facing, and he’s not getting anywhere. In Davis’ last four fights, he’s not getting the same reaction from the boxing world that he had earlier in his career when fans were excited about his future.

The fans didn’t mind that Tank was smashing C-level opponents one after another because they expected him to step up to the next level in facing the likes of Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, Miguel Berchelt and Oscar Valdez.

That hasn’t happened, and now fans, and it’s become forlorn with people tired of the endless mismatches. Those fans are looking in another direction towards fighters like Ryan, Teofimo, and Lomachenko, who are fighting the best each time out.

Fans want to see Ryan vs. Davis fight already

Some fans think Tank and his promoters at Mayweather Promotions are scared to make the fight with Ryan for fear that the gravy train will end with a loss. This match can’t be avoided, unfortunately. The division is too small for Ryan and Tank to occupy it without facing each other.

What hurts Tank is the way that the 21-year-old Ryan is making it clear daily that he WANTS the fight with him. Ryan is calling Tank out repeatedly and letting his fans know that he’s not the one stopping the fight from happening.

It’s on the other side that’s keeping it from happening. When fans know that one fighter is blocking the fight from happening, they jump ship and look for fighters that are willing to step up against the best.

After boxing restarts in 2020, it’s essential for all fighters to rise up and show courage by fighting the best rather than looking to take the safe path, facing fodder-level opposition for easy paydays at the expense of the networks.

We’ll which of the two fighters, Kingry Garia or Tank Davis, is willing to face the best when fights resume this year. Ryan is talking about wanting to fight on July 4, and we could see him in a massive step up fight against former three-division world champion Jorge Linares.
