Boxing fans and boxing critics have been waiting a very long time to finally find out if GGG is the real deal or if Lemieux could pull this upset. This fight will be an all-out slugfest, because both fighters have similar fighting styles. In other words, both fighters hunt their prey, cut the ring and use their power to obliterate their opponent.

Having said that, I believe the winner of the Golovkin-Lemieux fight will be the one that does a better job on cutting the ring and has a stronger punching power. They both have mediocre defence; therefore, for sure this fight will not go the distance.

Now we really have to give a lot of respect to both fighters especially to Lemieux. I was very shocked that he took the fight after winning the IBF belt back in June 2015 against Hassan N’Dam (31-2, 18 KOs). I really thought that Lemieux would milk the belt until the last drop but he proved us all wrong, which explains my view that Lemieux has an advantage over all the other opponents Golovkin has faced, its because Lemieux is not intimidated by Golovkin. All previous fighters who fought Golovkin lost their fight even before stepping inside the ring because they were horrified of Golovkin.

If Golovkin wins this Saturday, he has nothing else to prove in the middleweight, he should just move up at super middleweight or step down to super welterweight. I said it many times before, Lemieux is the only fighter that could beat Golovkin and if he doesn’t win, you should still have to respect his courage to face the most feared boxer in the middleweight and putting his belt on the line.
